We are looking for a Cardiologist to hold sessions at our St Albans office. Our patient population carries a heavy burden of hypertension, diabetes and heart failure, and today those referrals leave the practice. Bringing cardiology in house means our patients are seen sooner, closer to home, and by someone who can talk directly to the physician managing the rest of their care.
Sessions by arrangement, within office hours of Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
What you would be doing
- See referred adult patients for cardiac evaluation and follow-up.
- Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, Holter monitors and stress testing.
- Co-manage cardiovascular risk alongside the primary care team.
- Advise on remote monitoring patients with hypertension and heart failure.
What we need from you
- Current New York State medical licence and DEA registration.
- Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Malpractice coverage, either your own or through an arrangement with the practice.
- Comfortable practising in an outpatient community setting.
- All clinical appointments are subject to verification of your licence, board status and eligibility to participate in federal healthcare programmes.
Helpful, not essential
- Existing ties to the southeast Queens community.
- Experience with remote patient monitoring programmes.
