“Real collagen-building results — and safe for melanin-rich skin.”

Microneedling for Jamaica, done safely for every skin tone
Jamaica is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country, and skin care has to respect that. Many laser and resurfacing treatments carry real risk for brown and dark skin — including dark spots and uneven tone if they’re done wrong. Microneedling is one of the few collagen-building treatments that, in trained medical hands, is well-suited to melanin-rich skin.
That’s exactly why doing it in a physician-led practice matters. At Dr. Bryant Medical Practice and MedSpa — 205-15 Hollis Avenue in St Albans, a straight 10–15 minute drive from Jamaica Center — your treatment is performed by our trained clinical team under the medical supervision of a board-certified physician, with your skin and history assessed first.
Microneedling addresses what Jamaica patients ask about most: acne scars, rough texture, large pores, fine lines, and dullness. See how we serve the wider area on our Jamaica, Queens page.

How microneedling actually works
Microneedling uses very fine, sterile needles to create thousands of tiny micro-channels in the skin. These are too small to cause real injury, but they trigger your body’s natural collagen and elastin response — the same proteins that keep skin firm and smooth. As that new collagen builds over the following weeks, texture softens, scars become shallower, and skin looks fresher.
Because it works with your skin’s own healing rather than burning or bleaching it, microneedling is one of the safer collagen treatments for brown and dark skin when done by trained hands at the right depth. Most people need a short series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart for best results.
Each session takes about 30–60 minutes including numbing cream. You may be pink for a day or two, like a mild sunburn, then back to normal. Want the full clinical rundown? Read our main microneedling page or browse all MedSpa services.
