Walk in and see a doctor today.

You do not need an appointment. Walk into 205-15 Hollis Avenue in St Albans any day from Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Dr. Keisha Bryant’s team will fit you in. A real doctor’s office, not a chain clinic — so what happens today goes in your chart and gets followed up properly.

Booking ahead is optional — it just means less time in the waiting room.

What you can walk in for

Most of what brings people to an urgent care can be handled here — by a physician who will still be your physician next month.

  • Colds, sore throats, flu symptoms and lingering coughs
  • Fevers, ear pain, sinus pressure and congestion
  • Rashes, skin infections, minor cuts and burns
  • Stomach upset, urinary symptoms and other everyday complaints
  • Blood-pressure or blood-sugar checks when something feels off
  • School, work, sports and camp physicals
  • Refills and follow-ups when you cannot wait for a slot

When to call 911 instead

Some things need an emergency room, not a walk-in. Do not wait for us if you have:

  • Chest pain, pressure, or pain spreading to the arm or jaw
  • Trouble breathing or severe shortness of breath
  • Signs of stroke — face drooping, weak arm, slurred speech
  • Heavy bleeding, a serious injury, or a deep wound
  • Severe allergic reaction, fainting, or a seizure

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Come to us afterwards for the follow-up.

Walk-in, but not a walk-in chain

The difference is what happens after you leave.

At an urgent care you are seen once, by whoever is on shift, and the record usually stops there. If the cough turns out to be something more, you start again from the beginning with someone new.

Here you are walking into a physician-owned primary care practice. The visit goes into your chart. If you need bloodwork, a referral, a follow-up next week, or ongoing care for blood pressure or diabetes, it continues with the same doctor who saw you today — Dr. Keisha Bryant, MD, board-certified in internal medicine with over 15 years of practice.

Many patients come in once as a walk-in and stay on as regular patients. You are welcome to do either. If you would rather have a scheduled slot, you can book online or read more about primary care at the practice.

Walk-in questions, answered

Do I need an appointment to be seen?

No. You can walk in Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and the team will fit you in. Booking ahead simply means less waiting, so if you have a few minutes, call (929) 547-9616 or book online first.

What are your walk-in hours?

Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, including Saturdays. The office is closed Sunday. Arriving before 4:30 PM gives the team enough time to see you properly.

Is this an urgent care?

No — and for most everyday problems that is an advantage. This is a physician-owned primary care office, so you are seen by Dr. Keisha Bryant, MD or a member of her team, your visit goes into your own chart, and follow-up happens with the same practice rather than a different clinician each time.

How long will I wait?

It depends on how busy the schedule already is that day. Walk-ins are worked in around booked appointments, so mid-morning and mid-afternoon are usually quietest. Calling ahead lets the front desk tell you the best time to come.

Do you take my insurance?

Most major plans are accepted. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID. If you are uninsured or between plans, say so at the desk and the team will go through the self-pay options before anything is done.

Can I be seen if I have never been here before?

Yes. New patients are welcome as walk-ins. Arriving about ten minutes early gives you time to complete the intake forms, or you can fill them in ahead of your visit online.

Can my child be seen?

Dr. Bryant's practice is adult internal medicine. For young children, the team will point you to an appropriate paediatric option rather than see them here.

Feeling unwell? Just come in.

Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, at 205-15 Hollis Avenue in St Albans. Call ahead if you want to keep the wait short.
